Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Cessation of Anti-Dumping Duties on Canned Apricots From South Africa

The Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development gives notice that, in terms of section 14 (9) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (“the Act”), anti-dumping duties on canned apricots from South Africa cease to be payable with effect from 16 October 2001.

The anti-dumping duties cease to be payable on that date, because at that date, the goods were not subject to review under section 14 (8) of the Act and 5 years had passed since the date of the final determination* by the Minister of Commerce that the goods were being dumped and were causing material injury to the New Zealand industry.

Pursuant to clause 9 (2) of the Sixth Schedule to the Education Act 1989, and acting with authority delegated by the Minister of Education, I hereby extend the closing date for receiving nominations and all subsequent actions, in accordance with the Education (School Trustee Elections) Regulations 2000, for the election of the student representative for the Southern Cross Campus, Mangere, Board of Trustees.

The closing date for voting will be Wednesday, 14 November 2001.

This notice takes effect the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
