Commodity Levies Act 1990

The Commodity Levies (Winemaking Grapes) Order 1998

  1. It was resolved at the Annual General Meeting of the New Zealand Grape Growers Council in Napier on 30 August 2001, that the levy for 2002 vintage remain at 0.75% + G.S.T.

  2. In accordance with the above Order, all growers and buyers are advised that the calculation of the levy will be on the following bases:

    (a) In the case of grapes processed into grape juice or grape juice concentrate before sale, on the basis of a notional price to be determined by the council as per clause 4 (2) of the Order. The notional price for the year 2002 vintage is the 75% quartile price for the region and variety concerned.

    (b) In the case of grapes exported from New Zealand by or on behalf of their grower, on the basis of their f.o.b. value (exclusive of G.S.T., if any, and before deduction of any costs or charges).

    (c) In the case of grapes sold in New Zealand, on the basis of their farm gate price (exclusive of G.S.T., if any, and before deduction of any costs or charges).

Nursing Council of New Zealand

Nurses Act 1977

Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session in Respect of a Psychiatric Nurse

After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under section 41 (1) (b), 42 (2) (d), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”) in a decision dated 29 December 2000, found a psychiatric nurse guilty of professional misconduct on the grounds that the nurse’s conduct brings or was likely to bring discredit on the nursing profession.

The council ordered that the nurse be censured and pay $13,670.00 (being 50%) towards the actual costs and expenses of and incidental to the investigation and prosecution by the Preliminary Proceedings Committee and inquiry by the council.

It also ordered that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand and the Nursing Council’s newsletter with the names of all parties and the area in which the conduct occurred suppressed.
