Airworthiness Directive

Pursuant to section 72I (3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation, I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Safety Analyst–Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directive in respect of an aircraft:

DCA/UH1/11

This airworthiness directive shall come into force on 17 August 2000.

Airworthiness directives may be viewed on the CAA web site (www.caa.govt.nz) or at Aviation House, 1 Market Grove, Lower Hutt, Wellington.

Electoral Act 1993

Amendments to Register of Political Parties

Cancellation of Registration of Party

Pursuant to Part IV of the Electoral Act 1993, the Electoral Commission resolved on 9 August 2000 to cancel the registration of Animals First and to remove Animals First from the Register of Political Parties maintained by the Electoral Commission pursuant to section 62 of the Electoral Act 1993.

Cancellation of Registration of Party Logo

Pursuant to Part IV of the Electoral Act 1993, the Electoral Commission resolved on 9 August 2000 to cancel the registration of the logo for Animals First and to remove from the Register of Political Parties maintained by the Electoral Commission, pursuant to section 62 of the Electoral Act 1993, the record of the registration of that logo.

Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974

Exemption from Specific Requirements of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974

Pursuant to Regulation 16A (2) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974 and pursuant to Regulation 1 (7) (a) of the Goods Service (Constructional) Regulations 1936, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Peter Waring, Senior Engineer, hereby exempt the vehicles listed in Schedule 3 of this notice from the requirements in Schedule 1, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 2.

Schedule 1

Regulation 16A (1) (b) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974.

Schedule 2

Compliance with the Second Edition of the New Zealand Heavy Vehicle Brake Code as an alternative standard to the Interim Performance Specification for Heavy Vehicle Braking required by Regulation 16A (1) (b) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations, for the vehicles listed in Schedule 3 of this notice, when fitted with Don 4515D 1367 brake lining material in lieu of Don 4515E 7122 material as specified in the certificates of compliance with the Brake Code for the listed vehicles.

This exemption applies to the listed vehicles only pending the use of Don 4515E 7122 material, or pending the use of Don 4515D 1367 material manufactured subsequent to testing and approval of Don 4515D 1367 material to the requirements of Directive 71/320 EEC for which evidence of compliance is supplied.
