13 JULY NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE 1889

  1. A new parachute drop zone (NZP531, Dannevirke aerodrome) is established.

Pursuant to Civil Aviation Rule Part 71.7 (b) (i), the following airspace details are amended with effect from 7 September 2000β€”

  1. The following visual reporting points are disestablished:

Echo Lake, Ferry Terminal, Burnside, Moepuku Point, Cromwell Racecourse.

  1. The following new visual reporting points are established:

Clarks Beach, Hunters Creek, Mount Baldy, Oxidation Ponds, Te Puna, Waipa Sawmill, Stadium, Cust, Jellie Park, Cashmere High School.

  1. The following existing visual reporting points are amended with new names in brackets:

Papamoa School (Papamoa Beach), Tauranga Racecourse (Racecourse).

  1. The following visual reporting points are amended to a new position:

Waiotapu, Alabaster, Coronet Peak.

  1. Four new control zone sectors are established within the Tauranga control zone as follows:

City Sector, Matakana Sector, Papamoa Sector, Welcome Bay Sector.

  1. The following control zone sectors are amended within the Wellington control zone:

Karori, Makara, Sinclair.

  1. Nelson control zone portions NZA648A and NZA648B are amalgamated with amended boundaries as NZA648.

  2. The following Nelson class D controlled airspace is disestablished:

NZA655.

  1. The following new or amended Nelson class D controlled airspace is established with new codes where necessary in brackets:

NZA652, NZA654, NZA654 (NZA655), NZA656, NZA657 (NZA656), NZA658 (NZA657), NZA841 (NZA658).

  1. The following control zone sectors are amended within the Woodbourne control zone:

Taylors, Lagoon.

  1. Christchurch class E controlled airspace NZA659 is amended to class D airspace.

  2. A new control zone City Sector is established within the Christchurch control zone.

  3. The following new or amended Christchurch class C controlled airspace is established with new codes where necessary in brackets:

NZA848 (NZA842), NZA843, NZA845, NZA940 (NZA845), NZA941 (NZA847), NZA846 (NZA849).

  1. The following general aviation areas are disestablished:

NZG770 (Queenstown), NZG971 (Selwyn), NZG972 (Cast Peak), NZG973 (Lyttelton), NZG974 (Banks Peninsula), NZG975 (Dunsandel).

  1. The following general aviation area is amended:

NZG771 (Coronet Peak).

  1. A new general aviation area NZG977 (Harbour) is established.

  2. The following new or amended Queenstown class D controlled airspace is established:

NZA740, NZA741, NZA742, NZA743, NZA744, NZA745, NZA746, NZA751, NZA945.

  1. A new VFR transit lane NZV776 (Lake Wakatipu) is established within the Queenstown control zone.

  2. The following Dunedin class D controlled airspace is disestablished:

NZA753, NZA943.

  1. The following new or amended Dunedin and Invercargill class D controlled airspace is established with new codes where necessary in brackets:

NZA759 (NZA749), NZA755 (NZA750), NZA942 (NZA947), NZA944 (NZA948), NZA949.

  1. The following VFR transit lanes within the Dunedin control zone are amended with new codes in brackets:

NZV773 (NZV978, Dunedin City), NZV774 (NZV979, Taieri).

  1. The following new or amended class C and D upper controlled airspace is established with new codes where necessary in brackets:

NZA153 (NZA259), NZA154 (NZA258), NZA359, NZA756 (NZA754), NZA757 (NZA752), NZA758 (NZA759), NZA850 (NZA853), NZA859, NZA953 (NZA958), NZA957 (NZA958), NZA956 (NZA958).

  1. The following class D and E upper controlled airspace is disestablished:

NZA751, NZA950, NZA951.

Pursuant to Civil Aviation Rule Part 73.7 (b) (i), the following airspace details are amended with effect from 7 September 2000β€”

  1. A new restricted area NZR702 (Punakaiki) is established for conservation purposes.

  2. The following military operational areas are disestablished:

NZM602 (Cape Palliser), NZM801 (Banks Peninsular), NZM906 (Otago Peninsular).

  1. The following danger areas are disestablished:

NZD627 (Acheron River), NZD628 (Packers Creek), NZD822 (Maruia), NZD828 (Upper Waimakariri River).

  1. The following danger areas are amended or established:

NZD123 (East Kaipara Harbour), NZD124 (Wainui), NZD220 (Meremere), NZD222 (Mercer), NZD325 (Ngamatea Swamp), NZD326 (Levin), NZD820 (Maniat).

  1. The following parachute drop zone is disestablished:

NZP938 (Dunedin aerodrome).

  1. A new parachute drop zone NZP939 is established at Taieri aerodrome.

  2. The following parachute drop zones are renumbered with new codes in brackets:

NZP625 (NZP635), NZP626 (NZP636), NZP628 (NZP638).

  1. The following mandatory broadcast zone is disestablished:

NZC911 (Southern Alps).

  1. The following mandatory broadcast zones are established:

NZC214 (White Island), NZC315 (Maui), NZC410 (Tarawera), NZC912 (Southern Alps).

  1. The White Island volcanic hazard area (NZC211) is amended to NZC215.

  2. The following aerodrome traffic zones are disestablished:

NZZ375 (Oaonui), NZZ378 (Maui).

Prescribed pursuant to Parts 71 and 73 of the Civil Aviation Rules, under a delegated authority issued by the Director of Civil Aviation.
