Regulations 1990

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, John Richard Wolf, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Schedule 3

Conditions

(i) The items specified in Schedule 2 (except for seat belts and seat belt anchorages) must be within the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications;

(ii) The items specified in Schedule 2 must be in sound condition and good working order and must not be modified in any way;

(iii) (a) A two-point lap seat belt that complies with the appropriate vehicle standard is fitted in the front sitting position;

(b) All other sitting positions are fitted with the seat belts required by regulation 29;

(iv) All seat belts must be securely anchored to the vehicle and seat belt anchorages that are not the vehicle manufacturer’s original equipment must comply with Specification St 120395;

(v) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

(vi) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

Pursuant to section 7 of the National Parks Act 1980, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the 28th day after the publication of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette, be national park subject to the National Parks Act 1980 and shall be added to and form part of Egmont National Park.

Reserves Act 1977

Cancellation of Vesting and Revocation of Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager of the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation cancels the vesting in the Hurunui District Council and further, revokes the reservation over that part of the local purpose (public utility) reserve, described in the Schedule.
