Animal Products Act 1999
Notice of Exemption in Respect of Exporter Registration
Pursuant to sections 50 and 167 of the Animal Products Act 1999, the Director-General hereby makes the following notice:
Notice
Travellers Going Abroad
Any person travelling from New Zealand to another country accompanied by goods containing or consisting of animal material or animal products (as those terms are defined in the Animal Products Act) is exempt from the requirement to register as an exporter under the Animals Products Act in respect of those goods provided:

The goods are for the personal or non-commercial use of the person accompanying the goods.

The goods meet any conditions for goods of that kind imposed by the foreign government of the country to which the goods are taken.
This notice takes effect from the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Notice of Intention to Seek the Approval of the Minister of Energy of the New Zealand Electrical Code of Practice for Electrical Safety of Fittings and Electrical Appliances 2000 (NZECP 3:2000) and the Revocation of the New Zealand Electrical Code of Practice for Electrical Safety of Fittings and Electrical Appliances 1998 (ECP 3:1998)
Pursuant to section 38 (2) of the Electricity Act 1992 (βthe Actβ) and acting under delegated authority from the Secretary of Commerce, pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, I, Tony Leverton, Manager, Standards and Safety, hereby give notice that I intend to apply, after 1 month from the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, to the Minister of Energy for approval of the New Zealand Electrical Code of Practice for Electrical Safety of Fittings and Electrical Appliances 2000 (NZECP 3:2000) and approval of the revocation of the New Zealand Electrical Code of Practice for Electrical Safety of Fittings and Electrical Appliances 1998 (ECP 3:1998).
The code was issued by me on the 15th day of May 2000, acting pursuant to section 36 of the Act.
It is intended that the Electricity Regulations 1997 be amended to refer to the New Zealand Electrical Code of Practice for Electrical Safety of Fittings and Electrical Appliances 2000 (NZECP 3:2000) instead of the New Zealand Electrical Code of Practice for Electrical Safety of Fittings and Electrical Appliances 1998 (ECP 3:1998).
Comments are requested from any interested parties.
Copies of the code may be obtained from Sandra Murdoch, Energy Safety Service, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Eighth Floor, 33 Bowen Street (P.O. Box 1473), Wellington. Comments should be received within 30 days of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
