Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Waikato Conservator of the Waikato Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the land described in the Schedule is held for conservation purposes and, pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Act, further declares that the conservation area shall hereafter be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a scenic reserve for the purposes specified in section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves Act 1977, subject to the provisions of that latter Act.
