Notice of Publication of Engineering Consideration Document by the Radio Spectrum Management Group of the Ministry of Economic Development
Having regard to Regulation 15 of the Radiocommunications (Radio) Regulations 1993, the Radio Spectrum Management Group of the Ministry of Economic Development will publish the Engineering Consideration Document βECD2000/3: Radio Spectrum Provision for Itinerant Fixed Linking in Support of Television Productionβ, on Thursday, 20 April 2000, at the internet address:

Appointment of the Chairman and a Member to the Securities Commission
Pursuant to section 11 of the Securities Act 1986, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
Euan Hamilton Abernethy
to be Chairman of the Securities Commission for the period 1 April 2000 to 30 June 2001, and
Falcon Robert Storer Clouston
to be a member of the Securities Commission for a period of 3 years commencing 1 May 2000.

Takeovers Act 1993
Notice of Request to Takeovers Panel to Formulate and Recommend a Further Takeovers Code
Pursuant to Section 30, Takeovers Act 1993
To: The Takeovers Panel.
Take notice that I have decided, in terms of section 28 (2) (b) Takeovers Act 1993, not to advise the Governor-General to approve the proposed takeovers code recommended by the Takeovers Panel on 8 June 1995.
And take notice that, in terms of section 30 (1) Takeovers Act 1993, I hereby request the Takeovers Panel to formulate and recommend a further takeovers code that was recommended on 8 June 1995.
My reasons for giving this notice are that it is desirable to:
- amend the proposed code that was recommended on 8 June 1995 to reflect changes in market practice and international developments in takeovers regulation since 1995; and
- consult with market participants on the technical changes required to the proposed code that was recommended on 8 June 1995.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998
Qualifications Recognised by the Secretary for Education for the Purposes of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998
Under regulation 38 (1) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, the Secretary for Education recognises, for the purposes of those regulations, the following qualifications:
University of Waikato Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Stream)
Massey University College of Education Bachelor of Education (Teaching) (Early Years Option)
Auckland University of Technology Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching)
This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of May 2000.

Qualifications Approved by the Secretary for Education for the Purposes of the Education (Home-Based Care) Order 1992
Under clause 5 (45) of the Schedule of the Education (Home-Based Care) Order 1992, the Secretary for Education approves the following qualifications:
University of Waikato Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Stream)
Massey University College of Education Bachelor of Education (Teaching) (Early Years Option)
Auckland University of Technology Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching)
This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of May 2000.
