Pursuant to regulation 55 (2) (a) of the Domestic Violence (Programmes) Regulations 1996, the Chief Executive is pleased to appoint:
Anthony John Fisher, Regional Manager, Waikato, as Deputy Chairperson of the Waikato Regional Approval Panel, replacing Joy Cherie Turner, for the period commencing on the date of this notice and expiring with the close of the 31st day of July 2002.

Final Determination of Subsidy Investigation: Canned Peaches From the European Union, Amendment No. 1, Duty Reassessment
Pursuant to section 14 of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (“the Act”), the Minister of Commerce, having carried out a reassessment of the rate or amount of countervailing duty in respect of imports into New Zealand of canned peaches produced by Venus Growers of Veria, Greece, and having determined a new rate or amount of countervailing duty applicable to those goods, gives the following notice.

- Title and Commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Final Determination of Subsidy Investigation: Canned Peaches From the European Union, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the notice entitled “Final Determination of Subsidy Investigation: Canned Peaches From the European Union” dated 9 January 1998 and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 22 January 1998 (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
(2) The reassessed countervailing duty, as set out in the Schedule to this notice, shall apply to imports of the goods specified in the said Schedule with effect from 2 November 1999 being the date of initiation of the reassessment of countervailing duty.
- Amendment to Countervailing Duties Applicable—The principal notice is hereby amended by omitting the Second Schedule and substituting the Schedule set out in this notice.

Amount of Countervailing Duty
The amount of countervailing duty to be paid on demand in respect of each importation of canned peaches, imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand from the European Union, shall be the percentage of free-on-board value (being “Customs value” as defined in section 2 (1) of the Customs and Excise Act 1996) shown below:

(2) The reassessed anti-dumping duty, as set out in the Second Schedule of the principal notice, shall apply to imports of the goods specified in the principal notice, by Venus Growers with effect from 2 November 1999, being the date of initiation of the reassessment of anti-dumping duty.
- Amendment to Anti-dumping Duties Applicable—The principal notice is hereby amended by omitting the Fourth Schedule and substituting the Schedule to this notice.
