Public Trust Office Act 1957

The Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in Common Fund) Notice 2000, Amendment No. 2

The following notice is given, pursuant to section 37 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, and sections 28 and 41 of the State Sector Act 1988:

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in the Common Fund) Notice 2000, Amendment No. 2 and shall take effect from and including the 6th day of April 2000.

  2. Amendments to notice—The Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in the Common Fund) Notice 2000, New Zealand Gazette, p. 424, is hereby amended:

    (a) by omitting from paragraph 2 (b) (i) the expression “5.70 percent” and substituting the expression “5.80 percent”;

    (b) by omitting from paragraph 2 (b) (ii) the expression “5.75 percent” and substituting the expression “5.90 percent”;

    (c) by omitting from paragraph 2 (b) (iii) the expression “5.85 percent” and substituting the expression “6.00 percent”;

    (d) by omitting from paragraph 2 (c) (i) the expression “6.00 percent” and substituting the expression “6.10 percent”;

    (e) by omitting from paragraph 2 (c) (ii) the expression “6.10 percent” and substituting the expression “6.15 percent”;

    (f) by omitting from paragraph 2 (c) (iii) the expression “6.20 percent” and substituting the expression “6.25 percent”;

  3. Transitional provisions—(1) Paragraph 2 of this notice shall not apply to any interest payable in respect of the period that ends with the 5th day of April 2000.

    (2) Paragraph 2 (a) to 2 (f) inclusive of this notice—

     (i) shall not apply to agencies that commenced prior to the 6th day of April 2000, but
    
     (ii) shall apply to agencies that commence on or after the 6th day of April 2000, as from the date of their commencement.

Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974

Exemption From Requirements of the Code of Practice for the Attachment of Logging Bolsters to Trucks and Trailers Used in the Transport of Logs

Pursuant to Regulation 16A (1) (f) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974, and pursuant to powers sub-delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Simon Christopher Whiteley, Manager Safer Vehicle Policy, hereby exempt the vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Code of Practice for the Attachment of Logging Bolsters to Trucks and Trailers Used in the Transport of Logs, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 2 of this notice.

Conditions

(1) Bolster attachments to use existing design with 285,000km recorded truck operation without failure.

(2) Minor modifications to the existing design are only permissible if the certifier can demonstrate by calculation or approved type test that the performance and life of the bolster attachments have not been diminished by the modifications.

(3) This exemption will expire on recertification of the bolster attachments to a type testing process approved by the Log Transport Safety Committee and the Land Transport Safety Authority, or on the expiry of 6 months, whichever occurs soonest.
