Class: Part Season Goose Licence

Conditions:

(1) A Part Season Goose licence may be issued to authorise the holder to hunt or kill Canada Geese on or after 1 September 2000 in the Wellington and Nelson Marlborough and North Canterbury Fish and Game regions wherein for the remaining period of the open season for game in that region, Canada Geese may be taken.

(2) The holder of the licence shall be subject to the conditions for the Wellington and Nelson Marlborough and North Canterbury Fish and Game Regions, as specified under the Second Schedule of the notice in which the Minister of Conservation declared the 2000/2001 open season for game.

Class: Family Licence

Conditions:

(1) In respect of the Hawke’s Bay, North Canterbury, West Coast, Central South Island, Otago and Southland Regions: A family licence is the equivalent of an adult whole season game licence for the primary licence holder. It enables him or her to hunt for game birds in all Fish and Game regions from 6 May 2000 until the end of the relevant 2000/2001 game seasons for each region. It enables the other family members named on that licence to hunt for game birds only when accompanied by the primary licence holder and only within the Hawke’s Bay, North Canterbury, West Coast, Central South Island, Otago and Southland Fish and Game regions.

Explanatory Note:

These fees have been set to recover the anticipated costs of management of the game bird resource by Fish & Game New Zealand for the 2000-2001 season.
