THIRD SCHEDULE

Game Licences and Licence Fees

This schedule notifies the definitions and classes of game licences and fees payable in respect of each class of licence and the conditions attached thereto pursuant to section 72(3A)(a) - (d) of the Wildlife Act 1953.

The $2 Game Bird Habitat Stamp component of the following total licence fees is set pursuant to section 72(3A)(e) of the Wildlife Act 1953.

The holder of any game licence for the 2000/2001 game season shall be subject to the conditions and daily possession limits for each Fish and Game Region in which the hunting or killing of game takes place, as specified under the First and Second Schedules of the notice in the New Zealand Gazette in which the Minister of Conservation declared the 2000/2001 open season for game.

The provisions of the Arms Act 1983 apply with respect to firearms used in accordance with the licence.

Definitions

Adult: Any person 20 years of age or older as at 6 May 2000.

Young Adult: Any person 16 years of age or older but not having obtained 20 years of age as at 6 May 2000.

Junior: Any person under the age of 16 years as at 6 May 2000.

Child: Any person under the age of 12 years as at 6 May 2000.

Family: (In respect of Hawke’s Bay, North Canterbury, West Coast, Central South Island, Otago and Southland Regions only): Includes a primary adult licence holder, one adult partner and any dependants under the age of 20 as at 6 May 2000.

Class: New Zealand Whole Season Game Licence

Conditions:
A New Zealand Whole Season Game Licence shall enable the holder to hunt or kill game in all Fish and Game Regions of New Zealand.

Fees—Whole Season ADULT YOUNG ADULT JUNIOR CHILD

Total fee payable (GST incl) $60.00 $30.50 $13.00 $2.00

Class: One Week Game Licence

Conditions:

  1. A one week licence may be issued and be available for use on or after the tenth day (Monday, 15 May 2000) of the open season for game for a period of seven (7) days from the date specified on the licence.
  2. The licence shall enable the holder to hunt or kill game in all Fish and Game Regions of New Zealand.
Fees—One Week ADULT YOUNG ADULT JUNIOR
Licence Fee 28.50 14.0 5.00
Game Bird Habitat Stamp Fee 2.00 2.00 2.00
Total fee payable (GST incl) $30.50 $16.00 $7.00

Class: One Day Game Licence

Conditions:

  1. A One Day Licence may be issued and be available for use on or after the tenth day (Monday 15 May 2000) of the open season for game for a period of one day as specified on the licence.
  2. The licence shall enable the holder to hunt or kill game in all Fish and Game Regions of New Zealand.
