The Resource Management (Approval of BP Oil New Zealand Limited as Requiring Authority) Notice 2000

Pursuant to section 167 of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Minister for the Environment hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

  1. Title and Commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Resource Management (Approval of BP Oil New Zealand Limited as Requiring Authority) Notice 2000.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Approval as Requiring Authority—BP Oil New Zealand Limited is hereby approved as a requiring authority, under section 167 of the Resource Management Act 1991, for its network operation for the distribution and transmission by pipeline of petroleum and in particular for the construction, installation, maintenance, upgrading, development and redevelopment of the network of pipelines for the offloading, transfer (between storage facilities) and back loading of petroleum at the ports (referred to in the application).

Civil Aviation Act 1990

Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation

Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of a summary of exemptions, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.

Schedule

O/EXE/6—CAR 135.57 (c) (2)

On 1 March 2000. To each holder of an airline air operator certificate or general aviation air operator certificate issued under Part 119. From the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 135.57 (c) that prior to each air operation the flight plan required under Civil Aviation Rule 135.57 (b) is submitted to an appropriate ATS unit or, if the air operation is a VFR operation outside controlled airspace, an alternative flight information service or alerting service organisation.

This exemption shall apply until withdrawn in writing by the Director.

O/EXE/54—CAR 91.529 (a)

On 24 February 2000. To the Hawker Sea Fury aircraft, registration ZK-SFR. From the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 91.529 (a) that, with exceptions not applicable in this case, each aircraft shall have an automatic ELT installed.

This exemption shall apply until 30 November 2000 or until withdrawn by the Director.

Notice of the grant, withdrawal or denial of exemptions with provisos is published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL).
