Declaration Under the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996
Whereas, pursuant to section 441 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Minister of Transport did delegate those powers under section 12 (6) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Maritime Safety Authority by an instrument of delegation dated 19 March 1997.
And whereas, pursuant to section 442 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Maritime Safety Authority did delegate those powers under section 12 (6) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Director of Maritime Safety by an instrument of delegation dated 26 March 1997.
And whereas, pursuant to section 443 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime Safety did delegate those powers under section 12 (6) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to me by an instrument of delegation dated 26 March 1997.
Therefore I, John Norman Keith Mansell, Divisional Manager, Maritime Operations, hereby make the following declaration:
Declaration
The Order in Council under section 12 of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996, entitled the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Order 1992, shall not apply in respect of a barge operated by Total Marine Services while working in the protected area designated “Area 2—Hauraki Gulf” for the purpose of allowing divers to attach a lifting strop to a sunken keel, from 7 December 2000 until such time as the sunken keel is lifted, provided that:
The barge does not anchor west of 174° 59′ 8100 E;
That the position is fixed using either DGPS or GPS; and
That Telecom is notified of both the intention to commence work and upon completion of the work.
This notice comes into effect on and from 7 December 2000.

Revoking Section of State Highway—State Highway No. 67
Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that the section of State Highway No. 67 described in the Schedule hereto, is revoked within the meaning and for the purpose of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989.
Schedule
The section of State Highway No. 67 in Buller District, approximately 2 kilometres generally south-west of the Mokihinui River Bridge, being that area of land (1.378 hectares) described as legal road and shown as areas “T”, “AC”, “U” and “V” on S.O. Plan 15487.
