New Zealand Horticulture Export Authority Act 1987
Approved Export Marketing Strategy and Export Licence Requirements for Summerfruit (Apricots, Cherries, Nectarines, Peaches and Plums)
In November 2000, the Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Foreign Affairs dissolved the New Zealand Summerfruit Export Council at its request and replaced it with Summerfruit New Zealand Inc. as the new recognised product group.
As this is the first export marketing strategy for the new recognised product group, it is a requirement under section 30 of the New Zealand Horticulture Export Authority Act 1987, that it be published in the New Zealand Gazette.
Pursuant to section 30 of the New Zealand Horticulture Export Authority Act 1987, the authority hereby gives notice with respect to the following prescribed products:
Apricots (prunus armeniaca), sweet cherries (prunus avium), nectarines (prunus persica var nectarina), peaches (prunus persica) and plums (prunus domestica and prunus salicina) that:
(a) on 16 November 2000, the authority approved the export marketing strategy with respect to this prescribed product, pursuant to section 28 of the said Act; and
(b) pursuant to section 29 of the said Act, the authority has fixed 23 November 2000, as the date this export marketing strategy shall come into force; and
(c) from 23 November 2000, any person who wishes to export summerfruit (apricots, cherries, nectarines, peaches and plums) will be required to hold an export licence issued under the said Act; and
(d) applications for an export licence can be made to the New Zealand Horticulture Export Authority, P.O. Box 1417, Wellington on the form provided by the authority.

Declaration That Land is Reserve—Part Tauhara Park
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Hamilton City Council hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Hamilton City Council on 17 May 2000:
“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves that the parcel of land held by the city in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be, recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act”.
