Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1888
Termination of Dumping Investigation: Lead Acid Batteries from Thailand
Notice is hereby given that, acting pursuant to section 11 of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1888 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), I have terminated a dumping investigation in respect of lead acid batteries from Thailand (the “subject goods” as described in the Notice of Initiation of Dumping Investigation of 15 September 1999 (New Zealand Gazette, 23 September 1999, (page 3199)), imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand.
I have terminated the investigation because I am satisfied under section 11 (1) (a) of the Act that, as a result of the investigations carried out, there is insufficient evidence of dumping to justify proceeding with the investigation.
Dated at Wellington this 10th day of February 2000.
TREVOR MALLARD, Acting Minister of Commerce.
A copy of the non-confidential version of the Final Report which contains details of the investigation and the conclusions reached, is available from the Trade Remedies Group, Ministry of Commerce, PO Box 1473, Wellington.
