Lake Alexandrina winter season

8 4 The daily limit bag in Lake Heron and Lake Opuha and their tributaries shall be 6 sportsfish of which no more than 4 may be trout.

  1. MINIMUM LENGTH

9.1 The minimum length for salmon killed in waters of the region shall be 300 mm except in Lake Heron where the minimum length shall be 250 mm.

  1. INTERPRETATION

“Fly fishing” In the Otago Region means to fish for sports fish with fly rod and reel and fly line and artificial fly, but with no additional weight to facilitate casting.

  1. OPEN SEASON

2.1 Season: 1 October to 30 April:
Nevis River.
All waters of the Region except those specified in clause 2.2–2.5 and in clause 3 below

2.2 Season: All Year
Akatore Estuary:
Butchers Dam.
Catlins River, downstream from the State Highway 92 road bridge.
Clutha River, except that river reach known as Deans Bank defined by a landmark post approximately 600 metres below Lake Wanaka outlet and a landmark post 600 metres above the Albert Town bridge.

Dart river, downstream from the Dart River bridge:
Diamond Lake:
