Boating Industries Association of New Zealand Incorporated

The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Monday, 15 November 1999, the Boating Industries Association of New Zealand Incorporated was granted full recognition as an Industry Training Organisation for the design, building, and manufacturing of yachts and boats from small dinghies to ocean-going motor and sail yachts up to an overall length of 120 metres (400 feet), and marine oriented supporting activities such as the buying and selling of craft, maintenance and servicing of these vessels (excluding power boat servicing), with effect from 15 November 1999.

It will set standards on the National Qualifications Framework in the above areas to Level 8.

The ITO shall be required to consult with other interested organisations over the setting of skill standards.

The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Monday, 17 April 2000, the Aviation, Tourism and Travel Training Organisation Incorporated was afforded provisional recognition as an Industry Training Organisation for the aviation, tourism and travel sectors, for a period of 12 months subjected to the Industry Training Organisation and Skill New Zealand reaching an agreement on a plan to significantly increase participation in structured training throughout all sectors of its coverage with emphasis on tourism and travel.
