Water Recreation Regulations 1979

The Water Recreation (Mahia Beach) Notice 1999

I, John Norman Keith Mansell, Divisional Manager, Maritime Operations, pursuant to regulation 18 of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979*, and in exercise of powers delegated to me, pursuant to section 257A of the Harbours Act 1950 and section 443 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, hereby give the following notice:

Notice

(a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Mahia Beach) Notice 1999.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette and shall remain in force until 1 month after the date of its publication.

A rectangular area measuring 100m in width demarcated by orange posts with horizontal black bands on Mahia Beach and extending out to marked buoys 200m from shore is designated a reserved area for the purpose of operation of personal water craft and water skiing only.

Conservation Act 1987

Notification of Disposal of Conservation Land

Pursuant to section 26 of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby declares that the land formerly held for conservation purposes, described in the schedule hereto, has been disposed of for the consideration of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1500) plus G.S.T.

1.5125 hectares, more or less, being Section 41, Block II, Kaitangata Survey District. All certificate of title 18B/782.

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987 and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Department of Conservation, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is held for conservation purposes and that it shall thereafter be so held.

Reservation of Land

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Conservation, with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977.
