Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Revoking Section of State Highway—Declaring New Section of State Highway—State Highway No. 26: Morrinsville

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that the section of State Highway No. 26 described in the First Schedule hereto, is revoked and the section of road described in the Second Schedule hereto, is declared to be State Highway No. 26 within the meaning and for the purpose of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989.

First Schedule

At Morrinsville, that section of State Highway No. 26 commencing at the intersection with Marshall Street (Route Position 26/0.670) and proceeding in a generally north-easterly direction along Thames Street to the intersection with Waverley Avenue (Route Position 26/1.754); a distance of 1.08 kilometres.

Second Schedule

At Morrinsville, that section of road commencing at the intersection of Thames Street and Marshall Street proceeding in a south-easterly direction along Marshall Street to the intersection with Allen Street, then in a north-easterly direction along Allen Street to the intersection with Waverley Avenue, then in a north-westerly direction along Waverley Avenue to the intersection with Thames Street; a distance of 1.39 kilometres.

Conservation Act 1987

Reduction in Marginal Strip

Pursuant to section 24A (2) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager of the Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby approves the reduction in width of the marginal strip required on the disposition of the land in the Schedule hereto, to 3 metres.
