Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1)(a) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator, Canterbury, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is held for conservation purposes, subject to the Conservation Act 1987, and it shall hereafter be so held.

Authorisation of the Exchange of Part of a Marginal Strip (Conservation Area) for Other Land

Pursuant to section 24E of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Northland Conservator, Department of Conservation, hereby authorises the exchange of part of a marginal strip (conservation area) described in the First Schedule hereto, for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

North Auckland Land District—Far North District

First Schedule

75 square metres, more or less, being part old river bed, more particularly shown as Lot 5, L.T. 192095. Situated in Block V, Takahue Survey District.

Second Schedule

126 square metres, more or less, being part Section 80, Block V, Takahue Survey District, more particularly shown as Lot 4, L.T. 192095.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator, Canterbury, revokes the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve and Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Canterbury Conservancy, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Christchurch City Council on the 10th day of March 1999:

“Pursuant to sections 14 and 16 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves to declare the land described in the First Schedule a recreation reserve and to classify the reserve described in the Second Schedule a recreation reserve”.

Canterbury Land District—Christchurch City

First Schedule

i. All those parcels of land containing 1538 square metres, or thereabouts, being Section 1, S.O. Plan 16504, and Section 1, S.O. Plan 16505. All of the land comprised in C.T. 35A/172 (Canterbury Registry).

ii. All that parcel of land containing 607 square metres, or thereabouts, being part Lot 1, D.P. 12113. All of the land comprised in C.T. 2D/628 (Canterbury Registry).

Second Schedule

i. All those parcels of land containing 2362 square metres, or thereabouts, being part Lot 2, D.P. 12113, part Lot 52, D.P. 8335 and part Lot 51, D.P. 8335. All of the land comprised in C.T. 481/224 (Canterbury Registry). Part contained in New Zealand Gazette, 1943, page 1260, and part contained in New Zealand Gazette, 1943, page 1174.

Revocation of Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager of the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto and further declares that the said land may be leased or sold by the Wellington City Council on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine, the proceeds from any such leasing or sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
