Maritime Transport Act 1994

Notice of Exemption From Rule 23.27 (7)

I, Russell Paul Kilvington, Director of Maritime Safety, being satisfied that the granting of this exemption will not breach New Zealand's international obligations, and pursuant to section 47 (2) (b) (iii) and section 47 (3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, hereby give notice as follows:

The owners and masters of Canterbury Cat, Foveaux Express, Friendship Scenic Cruiser, Jet Raider, Lady Bowen, Lady of the Sounds, Lady of the South Pacific, Lady Stirling V, Manu, Milford Adventurer, Milford Haven, Milford Monarch, Milford Wanderer, Quickcat, Quickcat II, Seaflyre, Sealink, Seaway II, Southern Express, Superflyte, being ships authorised to carry more than 50 passengers in inshore limits on fixed routes, are exempt, for a period of 6 months from the date of this exemption, from the requirement in rule 23.27 (7) of Part 23 of the maritime rules to ensure that a plan for co-operation with appropriate search and rescue services in the event of an emergency, that complies with rule 23.12, is on board the ships.

Hunua Rural Fire District Abolition Notice 1999

Pursuant to section 4 (4) of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Hunua Rural Fire District Revocation Notice 1999.

(2) This notice will come into force on the 1st day of October 1999.

2. Abolition of Hunua Rural Fire District—The Hunua Rural Fire District is hereby abolished.

3. Revocation of Rural Fire District Notice—The Hunua Rural Fire District 1992* is hereby revoked.
