Maritime Transport Act 1994
Declaration Under the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996
Whereas, pursuant to section 441 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Minister of Transport did delegate those powers under section 12 (6) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Maritime Safety Authority by an Instrument of Delegation dated 19 March 1997.
And whereas, pursuant to section 442 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Maritime Safety Authority did delegate those powers under section 12 (6) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Director of Maritime Safety by an Instrument of Delegation dated 26 March 1997.
And whereas, pursuant to section 443 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime Safety did delegate those powers under section 12 (6) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to me by an Instrument of Delegation dated 26 March 1997.
Therefore I, John Norman Keith Mansell, Divisional Manager, Maritime Operations, hereby make the following declaration:
Declaration
The Order in Council under section 12 of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996, entitled the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Order 1992, shall not apply in respect of the following ship:
Seasurveyor
and any remote operated vehicle associated with that ship whilst working in the protected area designated “Area 2—Hauraki Gulf” for the purpose of a marine survey for Telecom New Zealand Limited from 17 June 1999, until such time as it takes to complete the survey.
This notice comes into effect on and from the 17th day of June 1999.

Conservation Act 1987
Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes and Authorisation of the Exchange of Land Held for Conservation Purposes (Stewardship Area) for Other Land
Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Northland Conservator, Department of Conservation, hereby declares that the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, is held for conservation purposes and, pursuant to section 16A of the said Act, the Conservator further hereby authorises the exchange of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto for the land described in the Third Schedule hereto.
