Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977

Appointment of Membership of the New Zealand Lotteries Commission

Pursuant to section 73 (1) (a) and section 74 (1) of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, I hereby appoint

Richard Yates

as a member of the New Zealand Lotteries Commission for a term of 3 years commencing on 3 June 1999 and ending on 2 June 2002.

Permission to Conduct Within New Zealand a Lottery Promoted Outside New Zealand

Pursuant to section 69 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, I Jack Elder, Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby permit Philips Lighting Australia, to conduct within New Zealand, subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule to this notice, a lottery promoted outside New Zealand as a sales promotion scheme, to promote the sale of the Philips lighting products.

Schedule

Conditions

The permission given by this notice is subject to the following conditions, namely:

(1) Philips Lighting Australia shall not conduct the sales promotion scheme in New Zealand after 30 August 1999;

(2) The results of the sales promotion scheme shall be published in the Sunday Star Times on 5 September 1999;
Winners will be notified by certified mail;

(3) New Zealand winners shall not be subject to any extra cost when they claim their prizes;

(4) The chance of a New Zealand participant winning a prize shall be equal to that of an overseas participant.

I, Dr Alan Esmond Bollard, Secretary to the Treasury, hereby give notice that on 21 May 1999, I first became aware that the Crown was vested under section 299 (1) of the Companies Act 1955 (by virtue of the removal of Drind Limited (formerly E.S. & A. Robinson Limited) from the Register of Companies on 11 October 1995, pursuant to section 281 (4) of the Companies Act 1955) with rights as mortgagee under mortgage No. 333391.3 registered against certificate of title 30B/1328, North Auckland Land Registry.
