Declaration That Land is a Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Northland Conservator, Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Whangarei District Council on the 22nd day of July 1998:
‘‘That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Whangarei District Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the council in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be a scenic reserve subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (b) of the said Act, and further, declares that the reserve shall hereafter be known as the Matakohe-Limestone Island Scenic Reserve.

37.1825 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 194210. All certificates of title 121C/580 and 75B/376, limited as to parcels.
4284 square metres, more or less, being part Allotment 214, Owhiwa Parish. All certificate of title 545/220, limited as to parcels.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngati Mahuta tribe, to be called ‘‘Repara Urupa’’.

Maori Freehold Land Set Aside as a Maori Reservation
Pursuant to section 338 (1) of the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set aside as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae and wahi tapu for the common use and benefit of the Hapu of Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay.

Pursuant to section 338 (2) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, part of the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby included into a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae and a meeting place for the common use and benefit of the Maori people of the Gladstone district and their descendants and the descendants of the Maori people who have resided there in the past.
