Comments are invited on the following proposed rules developed under the Maritime Transport Act 1994:

Part 40A—Design, Construction and Equipment—Passenger Ships which are not SOLAS Ships

Part 40C—Design, Construction and Equipment—Non-Passenger Ships which are not SOLAS Ships

Comments should be made by 1 July 1999.

Reserves Act 1977

Cancellation of Notice Declaring the Reclassification of Reserves and Issue of a Replacement Notice

The notice declaring changes to the classification of reserves dated 2 February 1999 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 21 of 18 February 1999 at page 505 which includes land which is no longer part of the subject reserves, is hereby cancelled and the following notice issued in its place:

Reclassification of Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager for the Southland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby changes the classification of both the reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, from plantation reserve and the reserve described in the Second Schedule hereto, from afforestation reserve, to local purpose reserve (afforestation).

0.8023 hectares, more or less, being part Section 109, Block I, Waikaia Survey District (balance C.T. A2/200). New Zealand Gazette, 1967, page 10.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Northland Conservator, Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Far North District Council on the 20th day of May 1998:

"That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Far North District Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the council in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be a recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act.

2350 square metres, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 185404. All C.T. 116A/4.

Change of Classification of Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Northland Conservator, Department of Conservation, hereby changes the classification of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, from a recreation reserve to a local purpose (community activity) reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.
