Electricity Industry Reform Act 1998

Notice of Exemption—Trans Tasman Properties Limited

The commission, pursuant to section 81 of the Electricity Industry Reform Act 1998, exempts Trans Tasman Properties Limited and its subsidiaries from the application of section 17 of the Electricity Industry Reform Act 1998, in relation to the conveyance and supply of electricity to the tenants of the Finance Centre.

The exemption is subject to the following terms and conditions:

(a) That neither Trans Tasman Properties Limited nor any of its subsidiaries introduce a charge to any person for the use of, or related to, an electricity lines business in relation to the supply of electricity to the tenants of the finance centre.

(b) That Trans Tasman Properties Limited or its subsidiaries not prevent access, on reasonable terms and on a timely basis, to any embedded electrical wiring systems they own in relation to the finance centre by any electricity supply business wanting to supply electricity to the tenants of the finance centre.

(c) That Trans Tasman Properties Limited or its subsidiaries provide all tenants of the finance centre to whom they supply electricity with relevant electricity consumption and billing information, on a timely basis, to enable the tenants to assess competitive options for the supply of their electricity.

(d) That if Trans Tasman Properties Limited or any of its subsidiaries enters into any new, or materially changes its current, contracts, arrangements, or understandings with the tenants of the finance centre or their assigns in relation to the conveyance or supply of electricity, Trans Tasman Properties Limited notifies the commission.

The exemption takes effect from the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

The commission may vary or revoke this exemption at any time in accordance with section 81 (5) of the Electricity Industry Reform Act 1998.

Notice of Revocation

The commission, pursuant to section 81 of the Electricity Industry Reform Act 1998, revokes the exemption granted in Decision 351 dated 1 April 1999, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 8 April 1999, to Trans Tasman Properties Limited and its subsidiaries from the application of section 17 of the Electricity Industry Reform Act 1998, in relation to the conveyance and supply of electricity to the tenants of the finance centre.

The revocation takes effect from the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996

Determination of New Organisms

Pursuant to section 26 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority hereby determines that the following organisms:

Narcissus bicolor

Narcissus elegans

Narcissus pachybolbus

are not new organisms.

Land Transport Safety Authority

Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Standards Compliance 1998

Specification of Records of Certification

Pursuant to section 2.7 (5) (c) of Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Standards Compliance 1998, I, Simon Christopher Whiteley, Manager Safer Vehicles Policy, specify that the compliance plate:

(a) required, in accordance with Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Standards Compliance 1998, for light motor vehicles that have been modified under section 6.5 (3) or as specialist certification; and

(b) specified by the Business Manager, Land Transport Safety Authority on 10 March 1999 (New Zealand Gazette, 11 March 1999);

need not have any information in the field on the compliance plate for the vehicle’s registration number (‘Reg No’).
