(c) One permanent member of the academic staff of Otago Polytechnic elected by the permanent members of that staff.

(d) One permanent member of the general staff of Otago Polytechnic elected by the permanent members of that staff.

(e) One member who is or has been a student of Otago Polytechnic who shall represent the students of Otago Polytechnic and who shall be elected by the students of Otago Polytechnic.

(f) One member appointed by the Otago Polytechnic Council after consultation with the New Zealand Employers’ Federation.

(g) One member appointed by the Otago Polytechnic Council after consultation with the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions.

(h) One member, being a member of the Dunedin City Council, to be appointed by that council.

(i) One member to be appointed by the local Otago Combined Runanga of Ngai Tahu.

(j) One member to be appointed by an electoral college comprising the local branches of Federated Farmers of New Zealand, Country Women’s Institute, Women’s Division of Federated Farmers of New Zealand, Young Farmers Club, and the Fruitgrowers’ Federation of New Zealand.

(k) Up to 5 members to be co-opted by the Otago Polytechnic Council if and when it thinks fit, taking into account the specific needs of the Otago Polytechnic, its unique character, and the gender, ethnic and socio-economic composition of the Otago Community.

  1. Subject to section 173 of the Education Act 1989, the maximum term of office of members appointed to the council, other than the Chief Executive Officer, is three consecutive 4-year terms.

  2. The Otago Polytechnic Notice 1990 appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, 13 September 1990, No. 159, page 3353, is hereby revoked.

Fisheries (Satellite Vessel Monitoring) Regulations 1993

The Fisheries (Amendment to Satellite Vessel Monitoring Circular) Notice 1999 (No. F115)

I hereby advise that, after consultation with the Seafood Industry Council Limited, the New Zealand Federation of Commercial Fishermen and the New Zealand Fishing Vessel Owners Association, an Amendment to Circular One has been issued on the 24th day of March 1999, pursuant to regulation 4 of the Fisheries (Satellite Vessel Monitoring) Regulations 1993.

Circular One specifies the standards applying in respect of Inmarsat-C automatic location communicators.

This Amendment to Circular One specifies Year 2000 Compliance and Week Number Roll Over Compliance.

A copy of the Amendment to Circular One, and Circular One issued in December 1993, may be obtained from the following offices of the Ministry of Fisheries:
