Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Charles Anthony Johnson, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Transport Act 1962

Approval of Child Restraints for Use in Motor Vehicles

Pursuant to section 77B of the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Peter Waring, Senior Engineer Vehicle Policy, hereby approve child restraints described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of section 77C of the said Act and for the purposes of regulations 29A, 30 and 30A of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The child restraints listed below manufactured by E-Z-ON Products Inc of Florida U.S.A., complying with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213 of the United States of America and labelled or otherwise marked in accordance with the said Standard:

  3. E-Z-ON Modified Vest

Pursuant to sections 52 (1) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962 and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice:

Notice

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Far North District) Notice 1999.

(2) The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962.

(3) The following notice is revoked:
The Traffic (Bay of Islands County) Notice No. 1, 1973*.

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice:

Notice

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rodney District) Notice 1999.

(2) Those localities and roads within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plan numbered LT9909/1, entitled β€œRodney District Roading Speed Restrictions at Hatfields Beach, Orewa, Silverdale, Stillwater, Waiwera and Whangaparaoa”, and held by the head office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962; except where declared:

(a) as 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or
(b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962,
as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.

(3) The following notices are revoked:
That part of the Traffic (Rodney District) Notice No. 2, 1997, which relates to roads at Whangaparaoa.
That part of the Traffic (Rodney District) Notice No. 1, 1995 which relates to roads at Orewa.
That part of the Traffic (Rodney District) Notice No. 1, 1991
, which relates to roads at Hatfields Beach.
