(e) Details of any relationships that may exist between that political party and any other political parties in New Zealand which the Electoral Commission may need to take into account in allocating time or money to political parties; and

(f) Either—

(i) That the party is registered on the Register of Political Parties; or

(ii) That the party is intending to apply for registration on the Register of Political Parties in order to be registered at least 3 months before the date in that year on which the Parliament is due to expire; or

(g) Where the political party considers that it is eligible for an allocation of time and money under section 75 (1) (a) (ii) of this Act,—

(i) The full name of each person who has declared his or her intention of becoming a constituency candidate for that political party at the general election to be held that year; and

(ii) the electoral district for which each person to whom subparagraph (i) of this paragraph applies intends to be a constituency candidate.’’

The current Parliament is due to expire on 1 November 1999.

Traffic Regulations 1976

Amendment to Left Hand Drive (Exemption From Equipment Requirements) Notice 1998

Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and in accordance with an authority delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety by an instrument dated 23 December 1996, I, Simon Christopher Whiteley, Manager Safer Vehicles, give the following notice:

Notice

  1. This notice (‘‘the amendment notice’’) amends the Left Hand Drive (Exemption From Equipment Requirements) Notice 1998 (‘‘the March 1998 Notice’’) published in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 March 1998, No. 42, page 978.

  2. This amendment notice shall come into force on the 1st day of March 1999.

  3. This amendment notice applies to those motor vehicles specified in Category E of the Schedule to the March 1998 Notice (‘‘Category E vehicles’’).

  4. The conditions applying to Category E vehicles shall be varied as specified in the Schedule to this notice.

Schedule

(i) Those conditions requiring the retention and production of a letter from the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand shall no longer apply.

(ii) The condition requiring continuing registration of the vehicle in the name of the importer until it is 20 years old or until conversion to right hand drive shall be replaced by Condition (6) of Category A of the Schedule to the March 1998 Notice.

Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road: State Highway No. 2, Gundries Road to Dannevirke

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 3 February 1999, and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 2 in Tararua District commencing at Gundries Road (at Route Position 751/7.48) and proceeding in a south-westerly direction towards Cemetery Road (at Route Position 772/0.14) as more particularly shown on Plans 2/02/1 to 2/02/12 and accompanying Schedules held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Wanganui, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 3 February 1999, and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 56 commencing at its junction with State Highway No. 57 at Makerua (at Reference Station 0) and proceeding in generally northerly direction through Opiki and over the Manawatu River to its junction with Highway No. 56 at Rangitane (at Route Position 11/2.95); a distance of 13.33 kilometres as more particularly shown on Plans LAR 56/05/1 to 6 and accompany Schedules held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Wanganui, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.
