Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986

Approval of Course in Map Reading

Pursuant to section 48 (2) (f) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and pursuant to a delegation given by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation, dated the 23rd day of December 1996, I, Francis John Wingrove Martin, Regional Compliance Officer, hereby approve courses in map reading to be conducted by the following organisation for the purposes of regulation 11 (1) (c) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987:

Rakesh Khanna (trading as Save & Safe Driving School).

Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, John Richard Wolf, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Conditions

(i) The items specified in Schedule 2 must be in sound condition and good working order and must not be modified in any way;

(ii) Two-point lap seat belts that comply with the appropriate vehicle standard are fitted in the rear seating positions;

(iii) All seat belts must be securely anchored to the vehicle and seat belt anchorages that are not the vehicle manufacturer’s original equipment must comply with Specification St 120395;

(iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

(v) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

Securities Amendment Act 1988

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice (No. 2) 1999

Pursuant to section 38 of the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice (No. 2) 1999.

(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:

“the Act” means the Securities Amendment Act 1988;

“the Exchange” means the New Zealand Futures and Options Exchange Limited;

“the company” means State Bank of New South Wales Limited (trading as Colonial State Bank).

(2) Any term or expression that is not defined in this notice, but that is defined in the Act, has the meaning given to it by the Act.

  1. Authorisation—(1) The company is authorised to carry on the business of dealing in futures generally.

(2) The authorisation is subject to the conditions that the company:

(a) is a public broker within the meaning of the rules of the Exchange; and

(b) is bound by the rules of the Exchange; and

that the authorisation applies in respect of futures contracts made on or effected through the Exchange or a futures exchange in a country other than New Zealand which is authorised by the laws of that country to operate as a futures exchange.

(3) The authorisation continues in force until it is revoked by the Commission.
