Notice of Approval for Land to be Leased

Pursuant to section 5 of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991

Pursuant to section 5 of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, I, Nick Smith, Minister of Conservation, hereby approve the leasing of the land currently vested in the Napier City Council and described in the Schedule.

In terms of section 5 (2) (c) of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, the approval shall take effect on the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Hawke’s Bay Land District—Napier City

First: 1974 square metres, being Section 1, S.O. 10939.

Second: 1725 square metres, being Section 2, S.O. 10939.

Third: 424 square metres, being Section 3, S.O. 10939.

Reserves Act 1977

Vesting of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Canterbury, hereby vests the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, in the Christchurch City Council in trust as a local purpose (public utility) reserve.

Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager of the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, as a scientific reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act to form part of the Waikanae Estuary Scientific Reserve.

Classification and Naming of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Otago Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, for the purposes specified in section 19 (1) (A) of the Reserves Act 1977, and further, declares that the said reserve shall hereafter be known as the Purakaunui Stream Scenic Reserve.
