Schedule 1

Conditions

(i) This exemption expires on the day a Land Transport Rule made under the Land Transport Act 1998 covering lighting equipment on motor vehicles of classes TA and TB comes into force and the corresponding provisions of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 are amended or revoked so as to no longer cover motor vehicles of classes TA and TB;

(ii) Irrespective of (i) above, this exemption expires on 1 January 2006.

New Zealand Horticulture Export Authority

New Zealand Horticulture Export Authority Act 1987

Approved Export Marketing Strategy and Export Licence Requirements for Chestnuts

Pursuant to section 30 of the New Zealand Horticulture Export Authority Act 1987, the authority hereby gives notice with respect of the following prescribed product:

Chestnuts (Castanea sativa, Castanea crenata, Castanea dentata and Castanea mollissima and any variety or cultivar of these plants), that:

(a) on the 21st day of October 1999, the authority approved the export marketing strategy with respect to this prescribed product pursuant to section 28 of the said Act; and

(b) pursuant to section 29 of the said Act, the authority has fixed the 28th day of January 2000, as the date this export marketing strategy shall come into force; and

(c) from the 28th day of January 2000, any person who wishes to export chestnuts will be required to hold an export licence issued under the said Act; and

(d) applications for an export licence should be made to the New Zealand Horticulture Export Authority, P.O. Box 1417, Wellington, on the form provided by the authority, on or before the 28th day of January 2000.

Pursuant to section 38 of the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice (No. 9) 1999.

(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires—

“Act” means the Securities Amendment Act 1988;

“Exchange” means the New Zealand Futures and Options Exchange Limited.

“The company” means United Capital Securities Limited (ACN 063 477 083).

(2) Any term or expression that is not defined in this notice, but that is defined in the Act, has the meaning given to it by the Act.

  1. Authorisation—(1) The company is authorised to carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts generally.

(2) The authorisation is subject to the conditions that:

(a) the company is a public broker within the meaning of the rules of the Exchange; and

(b) the company is bound by the rules of the Exchange; and

(c) the authorisation applies in respect of futures contracts made on or effected through the Exchange or a futures exchange in a country other than New Zealand which is authorised by the laws of that country to operate as a futures exchange.

(3) This authorisation continues in force until it is revoked by the Commission.
