Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is held for conservation purposes and it shall thereafter be so held.

Otago Land District—Queenstown Lakes District

2428 square metres, more or less, being Section 5, Block VI, Kawarau Survey District. Crown land. No title.

Authorising the Exchange of Conservation Land for Other Land

Pursuant to section 16A of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator for the Southland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby authorises the exchange of the conservation land described in the First Schedule hereto, for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

3.4020 hectares, more or less, being Lot 2, L.T. Plan 15045 (formerly being part of Section 26, Block VI, Otara Survey District).

Second Schedule

Southland Land District—Southland District

8.4800 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, L.T. Plan 15045 (formerly being part of Section 22, Block IV, Otara Survey District).

Reservation of Land and Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Conservator, Canterbury, acting pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, and with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as local purpose (public utility) reserve subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977, and further, pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, classifies the reserve as a local purpose (public utility) reserve.

4127 square metres, more or less, being all of Section 1, S.O. 14256. All Gazette notice 161471.1 (New Zealand Gazette, 1977, page 3100).

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Conservator, Canterbury, acting pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, and with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as local purpose (amenity) reserve subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977, and further, pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, vests the said land in the Mackenzie District Council in trust as a local purpose (amenity) reserve.
