HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 37ZZZJ of the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Local Government (Hamilton City, Hauraki District and Waikato District) Boundary Alteration Order 1999.

(2) This order comes into force on 1 January 2000.

Waikato District and Hamilton City

2. Boundary alteration—The boundaries of Waikato District and Hamilton City are altered by excluding the area described in Schedule 1 from Waikato District and including it in Hamilton City.

3. Wards—The area described in Schedule 1 ceases to form part of the Newcastle Ward of Waikato District (as defined on S.O. Plan 57997, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the South Auckland Land District) and forms part of the West Ward of Hamilton City (as defined on S.O. Plan 60886, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the South Auckland Land District).

Waikato District and Hauraki District

4. Boundary alteration—The boundaries of Hauraki District and Waikato District are altered by excluding the area described in Schedule 2 from Hauraki District and including it in Waikato District.

5. Wards—The area described in Schedule 2 ceases to form part of the Plains Ward of Hauraki District (as defined on S.O. Plan 57981, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the South Auckland Land District) and forms part of the Rangiriri Ward of Waikato District (as defined on S.O. Plan 57991, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the South Auckland Land District).

Schedule 1

Areas included in Hamilton City

Firstly, 2234 square metres being Lot 1, D.P. S. 48177, South Auckland Land District; secondly, 83 square metres, being stopped road shown as Area C on S.O. Plan 60885, South Auckland Land District.

Schedule 2

Area included in Waikato District

2.7190 hectares being, Section 2, Block XV, Piako Survey District, S.O. Plan 27348, South Auckland Land District.

Civil Aviation Act 1990

Notice of Variation to International Air Services Licence

Pursuant to section 87Q (4) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990 and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 28 August 1996, I give notice that I have varied with effect from 30 November 1999, the scheduled international air service licences held by Qantas Airways Limited and Ansett International Limited to:

• in the case of Ansett International Limited to permit services to be offered beyond New Zealand to points in the United States with a capacity of up to 2 B747 equivalents per week; and

• in the case of Qantas Airways Limited to permit up to 10 B747 equivalent units of capacity to be offered on services beyond New Zealand.
