The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.

The Traffic (Whakatane District) Notice No. 1, 1990*.

That part of the Traffic (Whakatane District) Notice No. 2, 1991** which relates to roads at Whakatane.

That part of the Traffic (Whakatane District) Notice No. 1, 1993*** which relates to roads at Piripai.

Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Temporary Exemption For Daytime Running Lamps From the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Jörg Simon Mager, Senior Engineer Vehicle Policy, hereby exempt the motor vehicles specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Exempted Requirements

Regulation 25 (2): relating to: Daytime running lamps

Schedule 3

Conditions

(i) This exemption applies only in respect of daytime running lamps that are fitted as original equipment by the vehicle manufacturer;

(ii) The daytime running lamps specified in (i) may remain fitted on the vehicles providing the lamps are maintained non-operational by way of disconnecting them from the vehicles’ electrical systems and by removing the light sources;

(iii) This exemption expires on 30 June 2000;

(iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time prior to the expiry date specified in (iii).
