Notification of Maritime Rules

Maritime Transport Act 1994

Pursuant to section 448 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, notification is hereby given of the making of the following maritime rules—

Part 45—Navigation Equipment

Part 51—Crew Accommodation

Part 40D—Design, Construction and Equipment —Fishing Ships

Part 45 and Part 51 shall come into force 28 days after the date of this notification in the Gazette.

Part 40D shall come into force on the 1st day of February 2000.

Parts 40D, 45 and 51 are available for inspection at the head office of the Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand, Level Eight, AMP House, 109 Featherston Street, Wellington, and for purchase from Publishing Solutions Limited, P.O. Box 983, Wellington 6015.
