Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the amendments but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These amendments change the basis and the process for approval of services providing OSCAR programmes (i.e., programmes providing for the out of school care and recreation of children) under the Childcare Assistance welfare programme, and provide for transitional provisions.

Casino Control Act 1990

Directions to Licensed Casino Operators—Internal Controls, and Administrative and Accounting Procedures—Amendment No. 3

Pursuant to section 70 (1) of the Casino Control Act 1990, the Casino Control Authority hereby gives the following directions:

1. The directions dated 17 May 1996 as published in the New Zealand Gazette of 13 June 1996, and as amended by notice in the New Zealand Gazette of 16 July 1998, and as further amended by notice in the New Zealand Gazette of 30 September 1999, are hereby further amended by:

(a) adding to section 2 (Application) of the Schedule to the directions, the following:

‘‘(d) the casino at the property situated at the Southern Cross Hotel, 118 High Street, Dunedin, by Aspinall (NZ) Limited;’’;

(b) adding to the definition of ‘‘casino’’ in section 4 (1) (b) of the Schedule, the following:

‘‘(iv) in relation to Aspinall (NZ) Limited, the licensed casino operated by it on the casino premises at the Southern Cross Hotel, 118 High Street, Dunedin;’’; and

(c) adding to the definition of ‘‘casino licensee’’ in section 4 (1) (b) of the Schedule, the following:
