Comments are invited on the following proposed rules being developed under the Maritime Transport Act 1994:

Part 42A—Safety Equipment—Life Saving Appliances—Performance, Maintenance and Servicing

Part 42B—Safety Equipment—Fire Appliances—Performance Standards

Comments should be made by 17 December 1999.

Fire Service Act 1975

Oamaru and Weston Fire Districts Notice October 1999

Pursuant to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Oamaru and Weston Fire Districts notice, October 1999.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the 14th day of October 1999.

  3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous fire district notices pertaining to Oamaru and Weston fire districts.

  4. The boundaries of the constituted districts are defined and delineated on plans held at the corporate office and Command Headquarters, New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Transit New Zealand

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1999/12 : Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 11 and 12

Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as follows:

Amendment

  1. This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. In the Third Schedule, after clause 9 insert:

  3. The section of State Highway No. 8 at Fairlie from a point (Route Position 57/0.82) 100 metres measured generally north-west of Alloway Street and extending in a generally north-westerly direction to a point (Route Position 57/1.64) located 110 metres generally north-west of Opihi Street; a distance of approximately 820 metres.

This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1999/9 : Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 1 and 2

Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as follows:

Amendment

  1. This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. In the Second Schedule, insert:

That section of State Highway No. 18 at North Shore City, commencing at a point (Route Position 0/0.30) approximately 270 metres east of Caribbean Drive and extending in a generally westerly direction to a point (Route Position 0/2.20) approximately 150 metres east of the Albany Highway, a distance of 1.9 kilometres.

This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.
