Maritime Transport Act 1994

Notification of Maritime Rules

Pursuant to section 448 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, notification is hereby given of the making of the following maritime rules—

Part 32 Ships’ Personnel—Qualifications
Part 35 Training and Examinations

Part 32 and Part 35 shall come into force 28 days after the date of this notification in the Gazette.

Part 32 and Part 35 are available for inspection at the head office of the Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand, Level Eight, AMP House, 109 Featherston Street, Wellington, and for purchase from Publishing Solutions Limited, P.O. Box 983, Wellington 6015.

Notice of Publication of Annual Report—Road Safety Trust

Transit New Zealand

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1999/15 : Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 7 and 8

Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as follows:

A m e n d m e n t

1. This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

In the Schedule, after clause 5 insert:

6 That section of State Highway No. 57 that is at Palmerston North commencing at the intersection of Aokautere Drive and Summerhill Drive (Route Position 50/0.00) proceeding in a generally north-easterly direction along Aokautere Drive to the intersection with Moonshine Valley Road (Route Position 50/1.88); a distance of 1.88 kilometres.

This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Reservation of Land

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator of the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land described in the First Schedule hereto as an historic reserve and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto as a recreation reserve.
