Civil Aviation Rules

The Minister of Transport intends to make ordinary rules in the following CAR Parts—

Part 71—Designation of Airspace;

Part 73—Special Use Airspace;

and consequential amendments to

Part 1—Definitions and Abbreviations

Part 77—Objects and Activities Affecting Navigable Airspace

Part 91—General Operating and Flight Rules

Part 101—Gyrogliders and Parasails; and Unmanned Balloons, Kites, Rockets, and Model Aircraft - Operating Rules

Part 105—Parachuting—Operating Rules

—pursuant to section 34 (1) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990.

The submission close-off date for the proposed rules is 30 October 1999.

Copies of the Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM 99-5) are available for viewing at Aviation House, 1 Market Grove, Lower Hutt, and on application to the Docket Clerk, P.O. Box 31-441, Lower Hutt 6315.

Airworthiness Directive

Pursuant to section 72I (3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation, I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Safety Analyst – Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directive in respect of an aircraft:

This airworthiness directive shall come into force on 9 September 1999.

Transport Act 1962

Approval of Child Restraints for Use in Motor Vehicles

Pursuant to section 77B of the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Peter Waring, Senior Engineer Vehicle Policy, hereby approve child restraints described in the Schedule hereto, for the purposes of section 77C of the said Act and for the purposes of regulations 29A, 30 and 30A of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, John Richard Wolf, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3 of this notice.
