Civil Aviation Act 1990

Notice of Granting an International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 87N (4) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 28 August 1996, I give notice that having received an application from Cargolux Airlines International S.A. of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, I have granted that airline an international air service licence to operate a cargo service from Luxembourg via intermediate points to points in New Zealand and to points beyond.

Notice of Intention to Consider Varying a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 87J (3) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 28 August 1996, I give notice that having received an application from Air New Zealand Limited, the Minister of Transport intends to consider varying the scheduled international air service licence held by that airline to provide for:

• with respect to Hong Kong, a fourth weekly frequency between New Zealand and Hong Kong; and
• with respect to Mexico, daily code-share services between New Zealand and Mexico City and Guadalajara.

Any person or organisation wishing to make representations relating to this application must forward those representations in writing to reach me at the Ministry of Transport, P.O. Box 3175, Wellington, on or before 17 September 1999.

Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of summaries of exemptions as set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.

On 17 August 1999. To Airwork (NZ) Limited. From the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 121.369 (1) that each holder of an air operator certificate shall ensure that each of its aeroplanes is equipped with a public address system.

On 17 August 1999. To each pilot-in-command of an aircraft operated under VFR who requires an alerting service for a flight. From the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 91.307 (a) (2) to submit a flight plan to an appropriate ATS unit prior to the start of the flight.

Notice of the grant, withdrawal or denial of exemptions with provisos is also published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL) which is available on the CAA website www.caa.govt.nz.
