at least one identifying tag per vehicle identifying the bolsters, bolster attachment, bolster attachment load ratings, the vehicle and the certification expiry date, the tag to be compatible with the requirements of NZS 5444.

Vehicles equipped with bolsters certified to the Code of Practice are exempted from the requirement for extra safety chains imposed by the Fact Sheet issued by the Land Transport Safety Authority on 7 August 1997.

Vehicles shall be operated at all times within the load ratings to which the bolster attachments have been certified.

Bolster attachment certification shall be immediately and permanently revoked subsequent to any occasion on which the vehicle has been operated at a load in excess of the load for which the bolster attachments are certified.

This determination may be revoked at any time.

Traffic Regulations 1976
Approval of a Brake Testing Device in Accordance With the Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976
Pursuant to regulation 68 (5) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Peter Waring, Senior Engineer, Vehicle Policy hereby approve the brake testing device specified in Schedule 1 of this notice for the purposes of testing brakes according to the requirements of regulation 68 of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976
Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, John Lance Murphy, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicles specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 3 of this notice.

(i) Any direction-indicator lamps required by regulation 63 (3) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, must be the vehicle manufacturerβs original equipment specification, must be in sound condition and good working order, and must not be modified in any way;
(ii) This exemption may be revoked at any time;
(iii) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990
Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Peter Waring, Senior Policy Engineer, hereby exempt the motor vehicles specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from all requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990.
Schedule 1
Tractors owned by any airport service provider operating at airports from which scheduled air services are provided, together with any trailer or trolley while drawn by such tractors.
