Docket 98/EXE/162. On 19 June 1998, to North Shore Helicopters Limited, from the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 91.311 (a) (2).

Notice of the grant of this exemption with provisos is published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL) dated 1 July 1998.

The CARRIL is available on the CAA website www.caa.govt.nz or on request to the Docket Clerk. Exemption files may also be viewed on prior request to the Registrar at the office of the Civil Aviation Authority, 1 Market Grove, P.O. Box 31-441, Lower Hutt. This exemption shall apply until the 31 July 1998.

Airworthiness Directive

Pursuant to section 72I (3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation, I, Peter Blackler, Assistant Director Rules and Standards, hereby issue the following airworthiness directive in respect of aircraft or aeronautical products:

DCA/LA/11

This airworthiness directive shall come into force on 25 June 1998.

This airworthiness directive may be viewed on the CAA web site (www.caa.govt.nz) or at Aviation House, 1 Market Grove, Lower Hutt.

Casino Control Authority

Casino Control Act 1990

Casino Control Authority Levy

Pursuant to section 76 (4) of the Casino Control Act 1990, the Casino Control Authority specifies the amounts of the levies to be paid under section 76 of the Act for the financial year 1 July 1998 to 30 June 1999, being the amounts approved by the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Finance under section 76 (3), to be as follows:

Sky City Auckland Limited—North Island Initial Casino Premises Licence:

$1,893,990.

Christchurch Casinos Limited—South Island Initial Casino Premises Licence:

$955,151.

For the holder of each casino premises licence issued between 1 July 1998 and 30 June 1999:

$545,000.

All figures are G.S.T. exclusive.

Pursuant to section 76 (6) of the Act, when a casino licence is issued during a quarter, the first instalment of the levy payable under that section shall be paid on or before the issue of the licence and shall be reduced proportionately, according to the period of the quarter that has already elapsed.

Land Transport Safety Authority

Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (North Shore City) Notice 1998

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, give the following notice:

N O T I C E

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (North Shore City) Notice 1998.

(2) Those localities and roads shown within markings identified on the legend of and appearing on the plan numbered LT9807/1, entitled “North Shore City Speed Restrictions”, and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962; except where declared:

(a) as a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21(2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or

(b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962,

as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.

(3) This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous traffic notices issued pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, for North Shore City.

Approval of Course in Map Reading

Pursuant to section 48 (2) (f) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and pursuant to a delegation given by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation, dated the 13th day of May 1996, I, David John Lane, Regional Manager, hereby approve courses in map reading to be conducted by the following organisation for the purposes of regulation 11 (1) (c) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987:
