Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1998/16 : Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 13 and 14

Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as follows:

A m e n d m e n t

1. This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. In the Third Schedule, (11) delete all text and replace with:

   The section of State Highway No. 88 (Dunedin to Port Chalmers) that is:

   (a) from a point (Route Position 0/1.98) measured 240 metres east of Leander Street to a point (Route Position 0/2.90) measured 470 metres west of Tekapo Street—a distance of 920 metres.

   (b) from a point (Route Position 0/5.30) measured 310 metres east of Jessie Street to a point (Route Position 0/7.70) measured 30 metres north of St Leonards Drive (Ruru Avenue extension)—a distance of 2.4 kilometres.

   (c) from a point (Route Position 8/1.93) measured 190 metres west of Reeves Road to a point (Route Position 8/3.91) measured 50 metres southwest of Wickliffe Terrace—a distance of 1.98 kilometres.

   This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Reservation of Land

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Conservation, with the consent of the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of section 17 of the Reserves Act 1977.

Otago Land District—Queenstown Lakes District

8903 square metres, more or less, being Section 33, Block IV, Lower Hawea Survey District. S.O. Plan 934. No certificate of title.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator of the Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation over those parts of the Motueka Beach Domain recreation reserve described in the Schedule hereto.

Classification and Vesting of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Canterbury hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a local purpose (soil conservation and river control) reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act, and further vests the said reserve in The Canterbury Regional Council in trust for local purpose (soil conservation and river control).
