Commodity Levies (Farmed Deer Products) Order
The levy rates set out in the Commodity Levies (Farmed Deer Products) Order 1995, are hereby decreased to
1.4 cents per kilogram for venison; and
5 cents per kilogram for antler in velvet
with effect from 1 July 1998.

Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session
Order in Respect of a Registered Comprehensive Nurse
After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (b), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”), in a decision dated 23 October 1997, ordered that the comprehensive nurse be suspended from practice for a period of 6 months and thereafter, be monitored by the Health and Disability Committee until he is able to practise satisfactorily as a comprehensive nurse. The council also ordered that he pay $3,000.00 towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the investigation by the Preliminary Proceedings Committee, and inquiry by the council and that a notice stating the effect of the orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki : Nursing New Zealand in this manner.

Order in Respect of Registered Psychiatric Nurse—Liuga Veaga Simeona
After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (a), 42 (9), 42 (3), 48A and 23 (2) of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”), in a decision dated 24 December 1997, ordered that the name of Liuga Veaga Simeona be removed from the register of psychiatric nurses. The council declined to fix a time after which he may apply to have his name restored to the register. The council also ordered that he pay $6,000.00 towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the investigation by the Preliminary Proceedings Committee and inquiry by the council; that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki : Nursing New Zealand and The Dominion and that he return to the Registrar all certificates and badges issued to him under the Nurses Act 1977.

After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (a), 42 (9), 42 (3), 48A and 23 (2) of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”), in a decision dated 24 December 1997, ordered that the name of Tonia U’Dell Forbes be removed from the register of comprehensive nurses. The council declined to fix a time after which she may apply to have her name restored to the register. The council also ordered that she pay $11,250.00 towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the investigation by the Preliminary Proceedings Committee and inquiry by the council; that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki : Nursing New Zealand and the Christchurch Press and that she return to the Registrar all certificates and badges issued to her under the Nurses Act 1977.

Order in Respect of Registered Comprehensive Nurse—Leann Dorothy Mary Hadfield
After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (a), 42 (2) (b), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, following conviction under section 229A (b) of the Crimes Act 1961, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”), in a decision dated 14 October 1997, ordered that Leann Dorothy Mary Hadfield be suspended from practice for a period of 12 months from the date of its order. The council also ordered that she pay $2,400.00 towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council and that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette and Kai Tiaki : Nursing New Zealand.
