Trans-Tasman Occupations Tribunal—
Approval of Members of the Panel
Pursuant to section 48 of the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997, the Minister of Justice has been pleased to approve for inclusion on the panel of individuals who may be appointed, pursuant to section 36 of the said Act (which relates to the constitution of the Trans-Tasman Occupations Tribunal) the following persons:

Airworthiness Directive
Pursuant to section 72I (3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation, I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Safety Analyst – Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directives in respect of aircraft or aeronautical products:

Civil Aviation Emergency Rule 98/EMY/3,
Ardmore Aerodrome Traffic Under Sections 31 and 35 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990
The Director of Civil Aviation made an emergency rule, 98/EMY/3, on 5 March 1998, which prescribes requirements for Ardmore aerodrome traffic, in addition to those prescribed in any other Civil Aviation Rule Part, when an aerodrome control service is not in operation. This emergency rule expires on 3 June 1998. Pursuant to section 35 (5) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the Director of Civil Aviation hereby renews Emergency Rule 98/EMY/3, for a period of 30 days, beginning on 4 June 1998, and ending on 3 July 1998.
Copies of the emergency rule are available for viewing at Aviation House, 1 Market Grove, Lower Hutt and on application to: the Docket Clerk, P.O. Box 31-441, Lower Hutt 6315. This emergency rule is also available on the CAA website [http://www.caa.govt.nz].

Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of exemptions, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.

Docket 98/EXE/151 – CAR 101.59
On 26 May 1998. The director granted an exemption to BlimpCam NZ Limited from the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 101.59 not to operate a moored balloon at night. See CARRIL issue 3 June 1998 for provisos.
Docket 98/EXE/103 – CAR 61.29
The director granted an exemption to every pilot employed by Helicopter Services (BOP) Limited from the requirement of Civil Aviation Rule 61.29 (b). See CARRIL issue 3 June 1998 for provisos.
