Advertising Rates

The following rates for the insertion of materials in the New Zealand Gazette apply as from 1 January 1998:

Category 1

Single column notices, e.g.: Notices under the Companies Act, Insolvency Act, and Public Works Act — 55c per word (no matter how big or small)*.

Category 2

Notices in table form or taking up two columns across the page, e.g.: Change of Company Name notices, Regulation Summaries—60c per word (no matter how big or small)*.

*Any word or group of alphas or numerals with a comma or full point imbedded in it will count as two words.

Any word or letter ending with a full point, comma, shilling stroke (whether followed by a word space or no word space will count as one word, e.g., D.X. = 2 words, the end. = 2 words. The full point, comma, shilling stroke ends the word, and what follows starts another word.)

The appropriate rate to be applied to an advertisement will be determined at the time of setting up the notice for publication. Customers will be invoiced in accordance with standard commercial practices. Advertising rates are not negotiable.

All rates shown are inclusive of G.S.T.

Bankruptcy Notices

Notice of Public Examination of a Bankrupt

Take notice that Leslie Ronald Orchard, formerly of Auckland, now of Napier, a bankrupt, has been required by the official assignee at Hamilton to attend before the High Court at Rotorua at 2.00 p.m. on Tuesday, the 16th day of June 1998, to be publicly examined concerning his discharge in accordance with section 109 (2) of the Insolvency Act 1967.

Any creditor who intends to oppose the discharge of the bankrupt on grounds other than those mentioned in the assignee’s report must give notice of his intended opposition, setting out the grounds thereof, to the assignee and to the bankrupt no less than (3) three days before the time fixed for the hearing.

Within (7) seven days of the date on which the public examination is to be held, the assignee must file in the High Court at Rotorua a full report on the estate and the conduct of the bankrupt and on all other matters with which it is desirable for the purposes of the Insolvency Act that the Court should be acquainted. The assignee or any creditor who has proved his claim or the counsel for the assignee or for any creditor who has provided his claim may, without notice to the bankrupt, examine him at the public examination.

Pursuant to Section 8 (1) of the Receiverships Act 1993 Malcolm Ashley Wong and Graeme Meldrum Cook, chartered accountants, both of Dunedin, hereby give notice that on the 25th day of May 1998, Azalea Investments Limited, a duly incorporated company, having its registered office at Auckland, appointed them as receivers of the property of Quality Hotel Wanaka Limited (in receivership) under the powers contained in an instrument dated the 11th day of June 1997.
