Civil Aviation Act 1990

Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation

Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of exemptions, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.

Schedule

Nature of exemptions granted:

Docket 98/EXE/124 — CAR 119.169, on 22 May 1998. The director granted an exemption to Air Nelson Limited from the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 119.169 (a)(1)(i) only in respect of the requirement of Civil Aviation Regulations 76 (4). See CARRIL issue for provisos.

Docket 98/EXE/136, on 15 April 1998. The director granted an exemption to Airways Corporation - Air Traffic Services from the requirements in Civil Aviation Rules 172.75 (c); 172.77 (a)(4); 172.77 (f) and 172.105 (b) provided that Airways Corporation - Air Traffic Services shall ensure that the separation criteria, minima and phraseologies required by Civil Aviation Rules 172.75 (c); 172.77 (a)(4); 172.77 (f) and 172.105 (b) are provided in accordance with those published in its Manual of Air Traffic Services as amended from time to time.

Docket 98/EXE/160, on 10 April 1998. The director granted an exemption to Mr Ray Brampton from the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 61.5 (j)(2). See CARRIL issue for provisos.

This exemption shall apply until the 19 April 1998 or until withdrawn in writing by the director, whichever occurs first.

Notices of the grant, withdrawal or denial of exemptions are also published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL), which is available on the CAA website www.caa.govt.nz. Exemption files may be viewed on prior request to the Registrar at the office of the Civil Aviation Authority, 1 Market Grove (P.O. Box 31-441), Lower Hutt.
