  2. Other suggested changes mean that more population is needed in the proposed Mahia Electorate.

  3. Other suggested changes mean that transferring this area to Mahia would improve facilities of communication in the proposed Mahia Electorate.

Suggested solution Transfer this area to the proposed Mahia Electorate.

Objects to the inclusion of any part of the Western Bay of Plenty District within the proposed Rotorua Electorate on the grounds that this area’s community of interest lies with the rest of the Western Bay of Plenty District.

Suggested solution Transfer this area to the proposed Bay of Plenty Electorate.

Similar to Objection 28/018 but this objection covers the areas known as Ngakuru, Waikite, Upper Atiamuri, Reporoa and Broadlands.
Objector suggests for the first 3 localities the community of interest, facilities of communication and topographical features quite clearly point towards Rotorua. For Reporoa and Broadlands interests, etc are equally shared between Rotorua and Taupo.
